Christmas & New Year

Christmas and New Year is a time for families and friends getting together to enjoy the celebrations. At Nutcombe we offer the perfect answer to expanding families who can no longer fit in one house but wish to spend the festive period together.

For our Christmas and New Year Holiday guests we open up our 'secret door' between Nutcombe Barn and Cider House to create one larger property sleeping up to 10 people in 5 en-suite bedrooms. We then move the lounge furniture from Cider House into Nutcombe Barn and the dining table from the barn into Cider House where it is extended to seat anything up to 14 people. Perfect for Christmas dinner or a New Years eve feast.

All our cottages are lovingly decorated for Christmas holidays with huge 7 foot Christmas Trees, sparkling lights and table decorations, with wreaths on the doors. All you need to bring is the food and the presents.

For larger families we can also offer Nutcombe Cottage as part of the package to add another 4 people to the party, therefore catering for a total of 14 people. The dining table is just about large enough to accommodate you all as well, but if you want a bit more space, there is always the Cider House round table for little ones.

Bookings are for a minimum of 4 nights with any start date apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and News Years Eve or New Years Day and subject to availability.

Guest Comments

We have stayed at Nutcombe numerous times over the last 10 years. It’s a fantastic base for the sandy beaches around Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe and also the coves etc towards Lynton and Lynmouth. ...
