Directions to Elsley are as follows:

• Approaching Combe Martin from Blackmoor Gate
• Take the A399 signposted to Combe Martin and Ilfracombe
• Follow the road pass the Wildlife Park, down the very long High Street into the heart of the village and almost on to sea front
• Opposite Loverings garage and chemist, which is on the left, and just before a convenience store on the right, turn right into Hangman Path
• Follow the road past the school gates and at the top, bear right into Rews Close
• Elsley is situated about six houses up on the left-hand side and is the first bungalow past the end of the school field
• A low white wall topped with a hedge, the driveway guarded by two white pillars and a dark green garage door, identifies the bungalow. ‘Elsley’ is engraved in the top of the left hand pillar
